Rachel Klosterman

     Fresh Ideas

                                Chef Rachel is the Food Service Director and Chef at Fresh

                                     Ideas. She won the Soul Food category at our Savory

         Summer Kickoff with her delicious and uniquely presented cajun Shrimp &

         Grits, and is now partnered with Primrose

        Hill Teen Challenge. Rachel has been in the

      kitchen for 25 years and continues to delight

    the palates of friends, family, and clients of

Fresh Ideas.

Coconut poached halibut w/ spicy herb crust and jasmine rice garnished with seasonal

vegetables in a coconut cream sauce.

 Reed Crull-Sher

                    University Club

                                     Chef Reed currently

                                     works at The University

                                                   Club under Chef Daniel Pliska to create unique

                                     and forward thinking dishes to serve to Mizzou

                                     Alumni and to cater local events. Reed won the

                                     European category at our Savory Summer Kickoff

                                     with his Grilled Pork Sofritto, white bean confit, and

beer battered corn and moved on to partner with EnCircle Technologies.

                 Panang curry, Thai fish cakes, and Thai steamed dumplings plated with a

progression from low heat to more intense heat.

Kitt Chompupong

       Thip Thai Cuisine

                                                                  Chef Kitt has been making

                                                waves in Columbia since he

            brought his traditional Thai cooking influence to not one

            but two local restaurants having just opened Thip Thai's

           South location. He won the Southeast Asian category

         at Bur Oak Brewery for our Savory Summer Kickoff and is

       now partnered with Granny's House.

                                   Udon noodles with mushroom broth, fried tofu, sautéed eggplant

                                   and spinach salad, seared daikon with pear sauce and carrot roll up.

  Cheyney Andrews

                             Bleu Events

                        Chef Cheyney is an integral part of

                 making bleu Events one of the premiere

                 catering services in Columbia with their creative style and

                 constant habit of exceeding expectations. Cheyney was our

                 People's Choice winner from the Savory Summer Kickoff with

                 his take on classic Fish & Chips. He stepped out of his comfort zone

                 for round two to create a totally vegetarian dish. Chef Cheyney

                 and bleu Events are now partnered with Columbia Center for

                       Urban Agriculture.

               Pan-seared, marinated, and roasted duck breast served with coarse ground goat cheese polenta and sautéed broccolini. Finished with a blackberry hazelnut sauce topped with toasted hazelnuts.

Jeremy Brown


                                               Chef Jeremy has helped to build two

                                Columbia favorites. Addison's and

                  Sophia's have a reputation for quality ingredients and

             delicious daily specials. Jeremy brought his 33 years of

             experience to the Savory Summer Kickoff and won our Classic

            American category with his Lobster & Brie Prime Rib sandwich and homemade

           dill potato chips. Jeremy is now partnered with another established local

         nonprofit, Welcome Home.

Mexican breakfast burrito with cheddar cheese, homemade chorizo and breakfast

sausage, Applewood smoked bacon, house made crunchy Home Fries, scrambled eggs, house pickled jalepeños, tomatoes and onions. Wrapped in a cheddar jalepeño tortilla, topped with green and red chili sauce, sour cream, scallions, tomatoes, cilantro and cheddar cheese.


Walnut Street Tap + Kitchen

                                        Chef Chris used his experience serving up delicious

                                        meals at an MU sorority house to create a menu at

                                        a fairly new restaurant in town, Walnut Street Tap

                                                       + Kitchen. He creates southwestern-influenced dishes

                                        including savory burgers, tacos, and unique apps with

his 11 years time in the kitchen. Chris and Walnut Street are now partnered with

First Chance for Children.
