Finalist benefits

  • In-kind food donations at Finale event are tax deductible
  • Photo shoot of chef and restaurant/organization
  • Video interviews, features and bios on social media (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram)
  • Print and digital publication exposure
  • Mention on TV or Radio promotions

 

for the Kickoff!!

  • Submit vendor entry fee of $120 early bird (through April 14th), or $140 up to event for space & marketing benefits
  • Provide logo of restaurant or organization you work for or your own personal logo for marketing materials
  • Participate in interviews for social media marketing
  • Allow photography of restaurant dishes or your own prepared dishes for social media marketing
  • Promote event internally
  • To compete to be a finalist: Bring required materials & catering set up to supply taste-size dish (to feed 300) from the following six categories to compete for the $200 prize and to be a finalist:
    • Classic American
    • European Cuisine
    • Southeast Asian Cuisine
    • Southwest/Latin American Cuisine
    • Vegetarian Dishes
    • Soul Food
  • To appear without competing: bring required materials & catering set up to supply taste-size portions (for 300) of any dish from your restaurant
  • Provide logo of restaurant or organization you work for or your own personal logo for marketing materials
  • Participate in interviews for social media marketing
  • Allow photography of restaurant dishes or your own prepared dishes for social media marketing
  • Promote event internally

 

As a finalist!!

  • Partner with one of our six chosen charities and one junior chef to form your “team”
  • Be a mentor for junior chef during campaign events
  • Each finalist will provide individual buffet at our final event incorporating themes from your competitive dish
  • Create original dish with junior chef with provided ingredients and participate in cook-off filming
  • Participate in video interviews and brief photography sessions behind the scenes for marketing
  • Meet with co-chairs over the course of the campaign to stay up to date
  • Display marketing materials for Serve It Up at your restaurant/organization
  • Share campaign updates on organization social media
  • Promote events internally to employees, associates, and contacts
  • Attend or send restaurant representative to as many remaining events as possible throughout the campaign for presence
