Our Committee

Crystal Umfress

Sponsorship Development, Marketing, Campaign Event Management

Over the last ten years I've been heavily involved with many charitable community campaigns in Columbia including the Aselsi's Guatemala Project, Tigers on the Prowl, Primrose Hill Teen Challenge, and Prim Goods as well as local political races.

In 2016, I turned my passion for events, marketing, and fundraising into Charitable Solutions Inc. to continue to help charities reach their fullest potential through capacity building projects. I am very encouraged by volunteers who have a desire to serve and be a blessing to nonprofit organizations in need.

I stand firm with "I'm third", putting God first, thinking of others next, and myself third! Through honoring our talents and gifts and working to improve and use them in a way that brings honor to God and our life we will positively impact those around us.

I'm proud and excited to watch Serve It Up CoMo grow into an event with a truly lasting impact on our community.

Columbia has become my home these last five years, and has truly impressed me with its culture and feeling of community, so I'm very excited to be introducing something brand new to town.

Before I was part of the development of Serve It Up, I interned running social media and marketing for Prim Goods (a non-profit enterprise for women recovering from drug and alcohol abuse), as well as interning for political campaigns. I strive for a genuine connection with any audience to send an impactful message.

In 2016 I completed my Business-Marketing Bachelors Degree at Mizzou, and I could not be putting my talents into anything more worthwhile than a campaign like Serve It Up CoMo. I am so passionate about raising awareness for ongoing issues affecting the community, and meeting our fundraising goals means positive life changes for hundreds of our neighbors.

I can't wait to get our first year in full swing and bring everyone together over great food to do some good.
